‘‘Subject A’’, oil on canvas, 12×10
In a parallel universe, Amna’s painting shows what reality might look like if everything was just a little more unsettling. A distorted humanoid figure stares out with huge glowing eyes: one red, one pale white, making the whole thing feel straight out of a nightmare, exploring the parallel universe concept. As Amna puts it, it’s how reality looks to those who “see it as it truly is.”
Character design:
‘‘Springman’’, character design, 2020
This character design started as a hand drawn sketch on paper before being developed further in Photoshop. The character is a skeleton wrapped in a flesh like suit, including a glowing golden heart inside the body symbolizing humanity and warmth beneath the exterior in regards to fictional characters.
‘‘Springboy’’, stop motion figure, 2020
“Springboy” is a handmade stop motion figure built from an old wire hanger armature and covered in sculpted clay. After shaping the body by hand, the figure was painted with acrylics to give it a rough, expressive texture. The movable structure allows it to be posed and animated for stop motion, combining sculpture, character design, and practical animation techniques into one physical character.
‘‘Priori’’, character design, 2021
This character design combines the appearance of a small bird with dark, organic fantasy elements. Tree like branches grow from its head and back, blending nature with mutation to create an eerie but delicate creature. A strange and haunting personality.

‘‘tutto passa’’, oil on canvas, 16×10
What is loss? Where do we all end up in the end? A series of four oil paintings exploring decay, loss, and the slow process of being stripped down by suffering (samsara). Each painting shows a different stage of deterioration, with the figures becoming increasingly tired, distorted, and disconnected from themselves. What begins as subtle physical and emotional decay becomes more intense as the series progresses, with the figures eventually breaking down into almost unrecognizable forms, creating a sense that, often times the decline is happening quickly and unnaturally.

‘‘Omegle’’, oil on canvas, 6×5, 2024
A recorded style internet chat inspired by an Omegle conversation.
The painting shows two anonymous figures separated by a distorted screen. Imagery surrounding the upper figure represents injustice, oppression, and a painful history brought upon people of color, while the Palestinian flag below represents resistance, identity, and the fight for freedom. Glitch effects and rough paint textures capture the hostility and disconnect of political arguments online, while highlighting the human side behind them. The composition uses digital glitch effects and thick paint textures to emphasize tension, miscommunication, and the fleeting nature of online encounters.

“Solitude’’, photo series, Canon EOS Rebel T7, 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor, DIGIC 4+ processor, 1080p video.
This photo series explores solitude and human connection through the stillness of wilderness during the COVID-19 pandemic. By documenting isolated landscapes, wild animals, and lone individuals encountered along the way, the artist reflects on themes of distance, introspection, and coexistence. The quiet presence of nature contrasts with the emotional weight of isolation, capturing a moment in time where both humans and wildlife seemed to exist in parallel silence.
‘‘Moomin’’, photo series, Canon EOS Rebel T7, 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor, D 4+ processor, 1080p video.
A playful yet meaningful photo series capturing Amna’s pet rabbit, Moomin, exploring the beach with curiosity and charm. Through soft coastal imagery and candid moments, the series highlights the gentle personality rabbits have; animals that are sadly among the most abused and misunderstood pets in the world. The project also includes a fun nod to Moomin’s unexpected appearance in a PewDiePie video.
